The Solicitor’s Office of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit is committed to the vigorous prosecution of those who commit crime. However, we recognize that exceptions should be made when the circumstances warrant. These exceptions give the opportunity to make the victims whole and to change the offender’s behavior. The Pretrial Intervention, Alcohol Education, and Traffic Education programs are useful in meeting this goal.
All of these diversionary programs generate a second chance for the participants. A second change that allows for expunged records, helpful information, community involvement, and most importantly behavioral modification.
