NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The 2nd Annual Leashes and Beaches Police K9 Skills Competition will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex.


This event is open to the public on Saturday, January 18. There is no admittance fee. Gates will open at 9 AM and the opening ceremony will begin at 10 AM. All proceeds benefit the North Myrtle Beach Police Foundation.


Police K9 Competitors:

Registration for the competition opens today, Thursday, August 1. The cost per team is $75, which will include one ticket to the Awards Banquet (additional tickets available at Check-In), a competition t-shirt, and a swag bag. Hotel accommodations will be available for K9 Teams.


The two courses will include the Agility Course with Scent Detection and Hardest/Fastest Dog. On Friday, January 17, the course will open after Check-In, and there will be a Competitor Networking/BBQ event that night. The Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday, January 18.

Sponsorship Opportunities:

There are six levels of sponsorship ranging from $250 to $5,000.

  • "K9 Rookie" - $250: Rookie K9 Sponsor will have their business on a 4'x2' banner on the field and advertisement in event program.
  • "K9 Decoy" - $500: K9 Decoy Sponsor will have their business on a 4'x2' banner on the field, advertising in the event program, and complimentary vendor space.
  • "K9 Handler" - $750: K9 Handler Sponsor will have their business on a 4'x2' banner on the field, advertising on event program, complimentary vendor space, and their company logo on an obstacle in the Agility Course.
  • Bronze Sponsor - $1,000: A Bronze Sponsor will have a 4'x2' banner on the field, complimentary premium vendor space, and sponsorship of a K9 Team with name of business announced during competition.
  • Silver Sponsor - $2,500: A Silver Sponsor will have a 4'x8' banner on the field, business logo on an obstacle, premium vendor space, and sponsorship of three K9 Teams with name of business announced during the competition.
  • Gold Sponsor - $5,000: A Gold Sponsor will have their business name attached to the event in all media material, 4'x8' banner on the field, premium vendor space, present awards to winning teams, and a K9 visit/demo at your place of business.

Vendor Opportunities:

The cost of a 10'x10' vendor space is $200. All vendors must provide their own tent, table, and chairs. The Vendor Coordinator will contact each vendor one week prior to the event to provide information on the designated vendor site. During the event, the Vendor Coordinator will be available onsite to assist with logistical support.

General Public:

This event is open to the public on Saturday, January 18. There is no admittance fee. Gates will open at 9 AM and the opening ceremony will begin at 10 AM. There will be meet and greets, as well as a vendor area, raffle prizes, and competition merchandise.
