NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The City of North Myrtle Beach is pleased to announce the completion of the annual maintenance and sidewalk replacement project on the Barefoot Swing Bridge.
Throughout the duration of the project, the bridge remained open to traffic, operating with lane closures to allow work to be performed safely and efficiently. With the project now complete, both lanes and the newly replaced pedestrian sidewalk will fully reopen to the public today, April 11.
Normal traffic patterns are resuming as traffic control devices are removed, and the bridge will be fully operational for both vehicular and pedestrian use. We appreciate the community’s patience while this important work was completed.
