RESULTS -- MARCH 15 CITY COUNCIL MEETING
The North Myrtle Beach City Council met Monday, March 15, at City Hall for a 6:00 pm executive session and a 7:00 pm meeting.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
City Council discussed a potential property acquisition and had a legal briefing regarding easements concerning the Cherry Grove canals. Council took no action.
MEETING
Council adopted a resolution approving mutual aid agreements for the 2021 Memorial Day Bike Week Event. The agreements enable the City to temporarily utilize officers from other agencies to assist primarily in helping to manage the very heavy flow of traffic during the Memorial Day weekend.
Council adopted a resolution accepting the conversion of Leah Jayne Lane from a private right-of-way to a public right-of-way.
Council passed the second (final) reading of an ordinance regarding a Parasail and Banana Boat Franchise Agreement for Cherry Grove in the vicinity of Sea Mountain Highway.
Council passed the second reading of an ordinance regarding a Parasail and Banana Boat Franchise Agreement for Crescent Beach in the vicinity of 17th Avenue South.
Council passed the second reading of an ordinance annexing and zoning 2.47 acres on Riverside Drive.
Council passed the second reading of an ordinance amending the Second Separate and Independent Amendment to the Master Development Agreement between the City and NGD regarding the Grande Dunes North Section of the Parkway Planned Development District (PDD).
Council passed the second reading of an ordinance amending the Parkway Group Planned Development District (PDD) and Waterway Hills Village at Grande Dunes

Council passed the first reading of an ordinance to amend Article V (NOISE), Section 12-78 (ENFORCEMENT STANDARDS) of the North Myrtle Beach Code of Ordinances.
At their March 1 meeting, City Council members passed the first reading of an ordinance to amend Article V (NOISE), Section 12-72 (PROHIBITION) of the North Myrtle Beach Code of Ordinances. That proposed ordinance, together with the ordinance addressing enforcement standards, will receive their second readings at the April 5 City Council meeting.
Council passed the first reading of an ordinance to establish regulations for small wireless facilities in public rights-of-way.
Council passed the first reading of an ordinance to authorize the conveyance of a property from the City of North Myrtle Beach to the United Parcel Service, Inc. (via its entity BT-OH, LLC)(“UPS”) in exchange for a conveyance via various property owners described in the ordinance.
