NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- On Friday, December 6, the City of North Myrtle Beach will recognize Arbor Day.
The North Myrtle Beach Tree Board will be planting a tree in the southeast corner of the North Myrtle Beach City Hall Parking Lot. The event will take place at 10:15 AM, prior to the Driftwood Garden Club’s Memorial Presentation at 10:30 AM.
National Arbor Day is celebrated on the first Friday of April; however, South Carolina celebrates the first Friday of December. According to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, this is the ideal time to plant trees in our state.
