NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The City of North Myrtle Beach will open Parking Registration to Horry County residents on Wednesday, February 28, at 10 AM. During the February 19 City Council Meeting, City Council approved an increase from 200 to 250 for the number of parking permits available to Horry County residents.
These parking permits are available on a first come, first served basis to Horry County residents who do not live in or own property in the City of North Myrtle Beach. The cost is $200 per parking permit, and the permits are valid beginning March 1, 2024, and will expire after one year.
Registration is online ONLY. The City will not be accepting walk-in registration for Horry County residents. Upon registering, the registrant’s license plate is their digital permit.
Citizens that possess a handicap placard or plate are allowed to park in any parking spot, at no charge. Therefore, a Digital Parking Permit is not necessary.
